For Arsenal, the sale makes sense too. Mikel Arteta’s midfield options already run deep with Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi and Mikel Merino ahead of him in the pecking order. Reports suggest Arsenal are closing in on Newcastle captain Bruno Guimarães, which would push Nørgaard even further down the list. Cashing in now, rather than letting him stagnate further, looks like sound business.
