Egypt looked flat. Disjointed. Short of ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n The second half was different. Egypt came out sharper, and the goals arrived in a ten-minute burst that changed everything.<\/span><\/p>\n Mostafa Zico headed home a precise Mohamed Hany cross in the 58th minute to level. Then Salah took over. Nine minutes later, he and Zico combined brilliantly in a slick one-two inside the box before Salah swept a left-footed finish into the bottom corner. Trademark. Clinical. Historic.<\/span><\/p>\n At 34, Salah became the oldest goalscorer for Egypt at a World Cup. He also became the oldest African player ever to score and assist in the same World Cup match. Substitute Trezeguet headed in a Salah corner in the 82nd minute to seal it.<\/span><\/p>\n Egypt now top Group G with four points. A place in the knockout rounds is nearly guaranteed.
