The Denmark international has already given his approval, according to multiple reports. He’s now expected to link up with Strasbourg after departing Chelsea’s preseason tour early to resolve his future.
This move keeps things within familiar territory. Strasbourg, owned by the same BlueCo group as Chelsea, has repeatedly served as a development pathway for the club’s fringe goalkeepers. Petrovic went there before him, and Mike Penders followed a similar route last season.
Jorgensen struggled to dislodge Robert Sanchez since arriving from Villarreal two years ago. His limited chances included a difficult Champions League outing against PSG under Liam Rosenior, an experience that only reinforced his need for regular minutes elsewhere.
Strasbourg’s new manager, Hugo Oliveira, reportedly pushed hard for this deal personally. A former goalkeeping coach himself, Oliveira values keepers heavily involved in build-up play, a profile Jorgensen fits comfortably given his passing range.
