Bayern Munich are targeting new attacking options this summer and have identified Marcus Rashford as a possible signing to add versatility to their forward line.

Rashford Emerges as Bayern Target After Gordon Move
Bayern became interested in Rashford after Anthony Gordon moved to FC Barcelona, ending their pursuit of him. With Gordon unavailable, reports say Bayern are now looking at Rashford, whose long-term future is still unclear.
Rashford spent 2025-26 on loan at Barcelona under Hansi Flick, playing a key role in a title-winning season.
Despite his impact in Spain, Barcelona have reportedly passed on the €30 million (£26m) purchase option. The Spanish champions still rate Rashford but hope to negotiate a lower fee, closer to €15 million (£13m).
Manchester United first asked for the full amount in the option clause, but reports now say the club is willing to accept a lower fee or different payment terms to help Rashford leave.
This change has led several clubs across Europe to show interest.

Along with Bayern Munich, Arsenal are also said to be watching Rashford’s situation. Manager Mikel Arteta reportedly sees him as a possible signing ahead of Arsenal’s League title push.
Other clubs linked with the 28-year-old include Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United.
Bayern Turn Attention to Ismael Saibari
However, Bayern may still be focusing on another target.
In the last day, Bayern have increased their efforts to sign Ismael Saibari, who is now their top choice for an attacking addition.
Saibari was key to PSV’s 2025-26 title, earning Eredivisie Player of the Season honors.
Saibari scored 19 goals and registered nine assists in 37 appearances across all competitions, including 15 goals and eight assists in 27 league matches.
Saibari Agreement and Transfer Negotiations Continue
His performances have convinced Bayern that he has the versatility and attacking skills needed to strengthen head coach Vincent Kompany’s squad.
Reports indicate that Saibari has already reached a verbal agreement with Bayern on personal terms for a contract running until 2031. The midfielder has also reportedly held direct conversations with Kompany, who strongly supports the move.
Bayern and PSV are still negotiating. PSV want a club-record fee of about €60 million, while Bayern are expected to submit an opening offer of around €48 million as they try to finish the deal before the World Cup starts.

Saibari’s stock has risen even further following his international performances for the Moroccan national team.
He recently scored two goals in a 4-0 win over Madagascar in a World Cup warm-up match, showing the form that has caught the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Bayern’s next step may depend on whether PSV lowers their price for Saibari or if Rashford becomes available on better terms as the transfer window speeds up.
