Liverpool and Manchester United are both keeping a close watch on Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram ahead of the summer transfer window.
Italian reports suggest Galatasaray have also made inquiries about the 25-year-old, while Liverpool are exploring midfield reinforcements amid the expected departure of Curtis Jones.
Liverpool are believed to be assessing several midfield options as they prepare for potential changes in Andoni Iraola’s squad.
Thuram’s blend of physicality, ball-carrying ability, and defensive presence has made him an attractive option for the Premier League club, which is looking to refresh its midfield depth for next season.
Manchester United
Manchester United, meanwhile, are continuing to reshape their midfield despite already agreeing to a deal for Atalanta’s Ederson.
The club is understood to want another addition in the center of the pitch and has included Thuram on a shortlist alongside Elliot Anderson and Mateus Fernandes.
United’s interest comes as the club seeks more athleticism and control in midfield following an inconsistent campaign.
Valuation and transfer situation
Juventus have not publicly placed an official valuation on Thuram, but discussions are expected to begin in the region of €45m-50m should the Serie A side decide to consider offers.
The midfielder joined Juventus from Nice in 2024 for around €20m and has enhanced his reputation during an impressive 2025-26 season.
2025-26 season performance
Standing at 1.93m (6ft 4in), Thuram is regarded as one of Europe’s most imposing box-to-box midfielders.
During the 2025-26 campaign, he made 44 appearances across Serie A and the Champions League, playing more than 3,000 minutes. He contributed four goals and four assists while recording an impressive 88.5% passing accuracy.
Defensively, his output was equally notable, with 25 successful tackles, 73 clearances, and nine interceptions. His long-striding carrying style and ability to break opposition lines have become defining features of his game.
Player profile and background
Thuram comes from one of football’s most recognizable families. He is the son of former France World Cup winner Lilian Thuram and the younger brother of Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram.
Born in Italy during his father’s time playing in Serie A, he developed through the renowned INF Clairefontaine academy before making his professional debut at AS Monaco.
He established himself during five years at Nice, earning a place in the 2022-23 Ligue 1 Team of the Season before moving to Juventus.
Thuram has also broken into the France senior setup, earning four international caps as his profile continues to rise.
