Data and analysis. We love football and we use statistics to give our football predictions. We don't just use league table or recent form. We analyse the data we have on a particular match, compare teams, look for betting opportunities with the data we have in front of us. We aim to give you quality predictions and tips for a match and analysis for various leagues and tournaments to help make the best choice when it comes to making a bet.
This page gives you an insight of how we work and what we analyse. Why you should never take things for granted when it comes to predictions.
1.Recent Team Form
We first look at the recent form of the teams before the match. This will give us a sense of teams' recent form, confidence level, etc.
We count the wins/draws/losses. There's always a danger of using results alone, though. We need to also take into account who the teams have played, and under what circumstances. Beating strong opposition is one thing; weak opposition is another. But, if we include other factors, then the recent form can give us a better picture on teams' strengths and weaknesses.
2. Home form vs away form
Home team is in their own home turf with crowd behind them but doesn't guarantee anything. We analyse home and away performance in terms of results, goals scored and conceded, solidness of the defense, and how they create chances vs different opposition
If not split between home/away, overall form can be misleading of a fixture, If a team is extremely good at home, then it's a good sign for home win. If the team is sound away, then it might be harder to beat then what league table suggests
3. Statistics of Goals/Defense
We look for goals statistics as a lot of bets are based on them.
We analyse how many goals each team is scoring/conceding. We analyse averages per match, Over 1.5/2.5 games finish. Also both teams to score, Clean sheet, Recent offensive/defensive performance
If both teams are prone to score and concede, you'd consider option for Both Teams To Score, If there are signs of a tight game then maybe we can look at under goals markets. These are indicators and not verdict. We use them alongside others.
4. H2H record
Past performance could show us any sort of goal pattern or pattern in results or some team that is always in difficult when facing certain team
But the teams might have changed. Players and managers could have left, and different tactics might be used. So the previous result might not count for much after a few years. We consider the head to head just one of the bits of information we use, never as a fact. Current form and context comes first.
5. Team news, injuries and suspensions.
Each team plays differently when the players are different. Absence of a key striker, keeper, defender or midfielder could affect attack, defence or balance. We use this information when we know it. Injuries, suspensions, possible changes to the starting 11, tactical news and fixture congestion.
This is especially important when many of the usual starters are missing, or a team has had a lot of tough games. You can get late team news right up to kick off. Be sure to check the latest news before you bet.
6. What markets do we cover?
Each market focuses attention on different aspects of a game. Our predictions for the game may include some or all of these, depending on the match.
Match winner (1X2)
'1' is a home win, 'X' is a draw and '2' is away win. We use form, home and away records, goals scored, strength.
Double chance
In the list above, two out of the three are included: 1X (win for home or draw) or X2 (win for away or draw) or 12 (one of them will win). So you have more options for winning than the 1X2, but the odds usually drop.
Over/Under Goals
The total number of goals of both sides. Thus you don't have to predict a winner. Over 1.5 means at least 2 goals. Over 2.5 means at least 3 goals. Under 1.5 means at most one goal. Under 2.5 means at most 2 goals. We analyze the openness of the match or the tightness of the match by looking at goal-scoring history, defensive statistics and form.
Both Teams to Score (BTTS/GG)
If both teams score (BTTS Yes/GG) will be a winner. If one of the teams fails to score (BTTS No/NG) will be a winner. We analyze the recent scoring form, the defensives weaknesses and the attack quality of both teams.
Win either Half
You have to win at least one half, not the whole match. It can draw the 1st half but win the 2nd one and still qualify. See the settlement rules of the bookie. We analyze these bets based on the attack quality, the pace and scoring pattern.
Correct score
Which means you predict the exact result of a match. Say 1-0. or 2-1 or 2-2. You could have predicted the winner correctly but lost because the score was different. There's so many possible scores. It's a very uncertain thing.
Mixed odds, accumulators
Mixed odds is where you mix picks from different markets together. (Say a result, an over/under pick, a BTTS tip) An acca/accum is where you have two or more selections as one bet. It can increase your potential payout. Most often you need all picks to win, for one wrong pick to ruin it all. More picks doesn't make for a better bet. You have to understand what you're picking and what odds they have. Don't try to just add more tips for bigger payout.
Banker tips & Super single
A preferred pick that you pick out of your picks for the day. It could be any market. The word doesn't mean sure thing. A super single means one pick. Not a combination of games. So you don't have the main problem of accumulators. But you can still lose. You have to see if it's a good bet depending on the facts, the odds, your situation.
Free tips and Vip tips
Access types, not markets. All can get free tips. But for vip tips (that is premium predictions) you need to go through the respective KCPredict offering. For example there can be many markets in free or vip tip. See what is available and conditions. Free or vip is not necessarily correlated with the result.
What makes the best market
That's the one that suits our information. Some teams are favourites to avoid losing, not to win. For some games, it's better to look at the goals market, rather than the full time result.
When we look at form, home/away stats, goals, h2h and team news (if available). These will all play a different role depending on the match and the market. There is no such thing as a risk-free betting market. Always shop around for the best price. Learn how the settlement works. Make your own decisions.
The future isn't set in stone. Past performance is no guarantee of future results. Only bet what you can afford.
7. Weights of evidence
No single statistic is a silver bullet. A team may have won a lot but lost to one type of team. A team may have lost its last game but made plenty of chances. We look at form, goals, home and away stats, h2h stats and team news (if any) and examine the possible outcomes before the match starts.
The uncertainty levels in each market varies a lot. The reasoning for your double chance pick is very different to your correct score pick. Our advice will be useful and insightful, but not definite.
8. Why it might be wrong
Predictions aren't guaranteed. Even with diligent research, you can get it wrong. Football is often a game of volatility and things can change in seconds. Even if you control the game, you can lose. A set-piece or counterattack goal can give the underdog the victory while your favorite team struggles to create a good chance. Many factors can throw off a prediction, from injuries during the game, to red cards, to penalties, to substitutions, to goalkeeper blunders, to missed opportunities, to unexpected lineups, to plain chance.
Numbers and stats can help you structure the information, but there's still uncertainty. Take our predictions as a type of educated guessing. There's no such thing as a site where all their tips will win. They're lying to you.
9. Our commitment
We'd like to offer fans useful predictions for the upcoming games, in a concise, practical way, following many different types of predictions and competitions.
We believe that you should be suspicious about prediction stats. When someone claims their win rate, they should also say the sample they defined. They should mention odds. They should also show all their wins and all their losses. Past performance can show you what the service can do, but it can't tell you anything about the future.
